Hey there Sled Dog readers. I'm on Manitoulin Island waiting for a ferry to Tobermory so I thought I'd drop you folks an update. Summer and construction. It ain't just true in Winnipeg. I've been stopped so many times for road work on the highway that I think it might have been faster to walk! Not really, but on the last 200Kms I was stopped for almost an hour if you add up all the road stops. Five minutes here, five minutes there.
Fifteen minutes for this cool bridge that opens every hour and takes the quarter hour to open and then close again. As 20 cars lined up waiting to cross, one sail boat floated through.
This weekend is the famed Summerfolk. Now in it's 30th year it should be an amazing weekend. I'll try to update you next week. Of course I have photos of all the festivals and will post some when I return.
